Forgotten Island Family Dinner

Content to Dinner. One Coordinated Production.

Production Coordination & Event Execution

OVERVIEW

In celebration of DreamWorks’ Forgotten Island, Gold House and OpenTable hosted an intimate Family Dinner at Kalye NYC featuring Hollywood actress Liza Soberano and Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter H.E.R.

The evening brought together invited influencers and executives from Gold House and OpenTable around a Filipino-inspired dinner by Chef Vance Consignado.

3rd Space Productions worked alongside Gold House, Kalye NYC and Studio Go to coordinate the venue-side production — connecting content filming, talent logistics, restaurant operations and guest experience within one continuous event day.

The objective was simple:

Move seamlessly from production set to dinner service.

OVERVIEW

PRODUCTION ARCHITECTURE

Unlike a traditional event build, Kalye needed to operate as several environments within the same footprint.

The restaurant became a content location.

The kitchen remained an active culinary workspace.

Dedicated areas supported talent holding, equipment storage and press.

Then, within minutes, the space needed to transition into a guest-ready dinner environment.

3SP coordinated these overlapping uses around kitchen access, equipment staging, talent movement, service paths and guest circulation — allowing each phase to function without compromising the next.

CONTENT + TALENT LOGISTICS

The afternoon included restaurant and culinary capture, Chef Vance content, photography, and filmed segments featuring Liza Soberano.

With featured talent accompanied by their own security, movement through the restaurant required additional consideration around arrival, privacy, holding areas, filming positions and guest access.

A late schedule adjustment moved Liza's content capture closer to guest arrival, compressing the final production window.

The schedule was restructured around a series of hard handoffs:

Content capture.

Equipment strike.

Room reset.

Guest arrival.

Press.

Seating.

Remarks.

Dinner.

Each transition protected the next.

GUEST + SERVICE OPERATIONS

Once doors opened, the production shifted from content logistics to hospitality.

Approximately 40 guests were managed through cocktail arrival, press, assigned seating, remarks and family-style dinner service.

Ahead of service, 3SP worked with Kalye's FOH and kitchen teams to review the seating plan, guest assignments, dietary restrictions and allergies, helping ensure servers understood where specific dietary requirements were located and how they affected service.

The same production structure that controlled filming and talent movement earlier in the day now supported the guest experience.

THE 15-MINUTE TURNOVER

The critical production moment happened between content and hospitality.

With filming scheduled through approximately 4:30 PM and doors opening at 4:45 PM, the team had roughly 15 minutes to transition the restaurant from active production environment to guest-ready event.

Studio Go cleared and consolidated equipment while Kalye and the production team reset the room, finalized tables and place cards, cleared service paths, prepared audio and ensured FOH was ready for arrival.

There was no separate load-in between the two experiences.

The production had to transform in place.

Kalye NYC transformed from a content production set into the Forgotten Island Family Dinner guest experience.

BEHIND THE EVENT

Production planning. Content coordination. Talent logistics. Venue turnover. Guest experience.

The event moved from filmed content with Liza Soberano and Chef Vance into an intimate family-style dinner — bringing together talent, partners, executives and invited guests within one coordinated production.

OUTCOME

Liza Soberano and H.E.R. during the Forgotten Island Family Dinner at Kalye NYC.

The restaurant moved from active content production into an intimate hosted dinner within a tightly compressed schedule.

Talent, security, filmmakers, photographers, press, executives, influencers, restaurant operations and hospitality teams moved through one coordinated production structure — from initial setup through dinner service and final strike.

The complexity stayed behind the scenes.

The guest experience remained effortless.

STUDIO PERSPECTIVE

This project reflects a broader part of how 3rd Space Productions approaches live experiences.

Whether runway, presentation or brand event, the principle remains the same:

Understand the space.

Control the transitions.

Protect the guest experience.

Our role is to create the structure that allows different creative, production and hospitality teams to operate as one.

TESTIMONIAL

“They took care of all our needs with minimal supervision and were quick and attentive to any issues that came up.”

Yancy and 3SP did a stellar job helping us produce our Family Dinner for DreamWorks’ FORGOTTEN ISLAND with Liza Soberano and H.E.R. at Kalye NYC. I would highly recommend working with Yancy on future projects if you want a trusted partner in event production!
